Try the new Companion

Open Settings → Momo and choose Companion. Open the expression studio to try Happy, Heart eyes, Wink and the other expressions. Existing installations keep the skin you already chose. If an old face is still showing after an update, quit Momo from its menu-bar icon and reopen the updated app.

Find Momo

Use the face icon in the menu bar to open Settings. The default panel shortcut is Control–Option–M; you can choose another key. Escape closes the panel. Presentation mode hides the island and pauses background tools; use the menu or shortcut to restore it.

Activate or move your licence

Momo requires a purchased licence before you can use the companion or tools. Dodo Payments delivers the key after a successful purchase. Follow the activation guide, then open Settings → Licence and paste your key. Deactivate this Mac while online before moving a key to another Mac. A failed deactivation keeps the local key so you can retry. Device limits follow your purchase.

Keep the Dodo confirmation email for recovery and purchase enquiries. If you cannot find it, check your spam folder, then contact us with your order ID.

Clipboard and permissions

Enable the Clipboard tool, then choose Enable clipboard history. Captures stay local and are protected by your macOS account, rather than separate app encryption. Pause before copying sensitive material. Calendar, Reminders and Music access are optional and can be revoked in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Direct paste additionally needs Accessibility.

Local storage and backup

Notes, clipboard images/history, shelf references and quick links are in ~/Library/Application Support/NotchMomo. Back up this folder before resetting the app. Credentials and licence records use the login Keychain under com.gameocean.notchmomo. Preferences use the same bundle identifier.

Remove Momo

Save or copy any unsaved note, deactivate your licence while online, disable Launch at login and quit using the menu bar. Move the app to Trash. To remove saved data, first back up the folder above, then remove it through Finder. Remove associated Keychain entries only after successful deactivation; deleting an entry does not free a device seat.

Weather and integrations

Weather requires your Open-Meteo customer API key. Integration keys go directly to the selected provider; use restricted, read-only credentials where available. Payment cards label how their totals are calculated, keep currencies separate and flag incomplete results.

Download Momo

Version 1.0.2 supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later. The installer is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. A purchased licence is required to use the app.
